Care about fresh food and the people who grow our crops? (of course you do...you're reading a slow food email) then this film is a must-see to have a deeper understanding of Monsanto's strategy to change the face of America's family farms. Check out more information about the movie at www.thefutureoffood.com .
Earth day is on Saturday April 22nd. Meet at 5pm at the newly restored Baltimore youth hostel on Mulberry St. in Mt. Vernon with a potluck dish/dessert to share. Afterward, former farmer and current union of concerned scientists representative (also slow food baltimore's co-leader) Ben Larson will lead a question and answer session about the state of our farms and the influx of genetically engineered crops into our food supply.
