Moore planned a 9 p.m. ride from the Baltimore Hostel, looping around
downtown Baltimore, Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, Canton, and other
sites.
* April 30-May 1 (Sat & Sun) Bike from Baltimore to Harper’s
Ferry! Bob Moore and Jeffrey Marks led another of their legendary
overnight bicycle trips from 18 miles west of downtown Baltimore to the
H.F. hostel. Start point was Mt. View Middle School (near Route 32 &
I-70). Each day’s ride 50 miles.

Thursday" Events downtown) with featured artist Esha
Janssens-Sannon showing photographs of India. Over 50 people
enjoyed this free cocktail party and "gallery" event.

The Jane Goodall Institute’s "Roots & Shoots" program
held a Spring Nature Journaling Workshop on May 7-8, 2004 at the
Harper’s Ferry Hostel during the peak of the spring blooming season.
The nature journaling course was taught by artist, educator and
naturalist, Clare Walker Leslie from Cambridge, MA. Elementary, Middle
School and High School teachers who are members of the Roots &
Shoots program learned how to use nature journaling as a teaching tool. |
