* March 28  G.W. University “Travel the World” presentation (co-sponsored with STA Travel)

* April 12 (Tues)  PAC Board Meeting at the DC Hostel (7 pm) Washington Int’l Hostel, 11th & K Sts NW

* April 16 (Sat) 2nd Annual Baltimore Moonlight Madness Ride!  Bob Moore planned a 9 p.m. ride from the Baltimore Hostel, looping around downtown Baltimore, Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, Canton, and other sites.

* April 30-May 1 (Sat & Sun) Bike from Baltimore to Harper’s Ferry! Bob Moore and Jeffrey Marks led another of their legendary overnight bicycle trips from 18 miles west of downtown Baltimore to the H.F. hostel. Start point was Mt. View Middle School (near Route 32 & I-70). Each day’s ride 50 miles.

* May 13-15 (Fri, Sat, Sun) HI-USA’s Eastern Regional Meeting, Albany, NY. Sponsored by the Hudson Mohawk Council.

* May 20 (Fri) National Bike to Work Day

* May 21 (Sat) 3rd Annual "Moonlight Memorial Ride" (8:30 pm) from Washington Hostel.  10-15 mile frolicking bike ride looping around DC ... including the Capitol, Tidal Basin, Mall, White House, Georgetown Harbor, GWU

* June 2 (Thurs) Baltimore Hostel Open House (as part of the "First Thursday" Events downtown) with featured artist Esha Janssens-Sannon showing photographs of India.  Over 50 people enjoyed this free cocktail party and "gallery" event.

* June 15 (Wed) Cycle Touring in Ireland (7 pm) Washington Hostel

* July 13 (Wed) Baltimore “Travel the World” presentation by Julie Sanches
                (6 pm) at Baltimore Central Library
                (7 pm) Refreshments & Questions & Answers (at Baltimore hostel across the street)

* September 23, 24, 25 (Fri, Sat & Sun) GreenFest at the Washington DC Convention Center.  Bicycle Valet station and hostel information booth.  Discussion of bicycle trip programs.

* October 6 (Thurs) Baltimore Hostel Open House (as part of the "First Thursday" Events downtown) with featured artist Denny Lynch showing photographs and historical background of counties in Ireland, plus the immigrant experience in America.

 
Past Events 2004
* The Jane Goodall Institute’s "Roots & Shoots" program held a Spring Nature Journaling Workshop on May 7-8, 2004 at the Harper’s Ferry Hostel during the peak of the spring blooming season. The nature journaling course was taught by artist, educator and naturalist, Clare Walker Leslie from Cambridge, MA. Elementary, Middle School and High School teachers who are members of the Roots & Shoots program learned how to use nature journaling as a teaching tool.
